1 December 2008: World AIDS Day LU Station Collections - Volunteers Needed!
1 December is the 21st World AIDS Day and this year is the 21st birthday of NAT (National AIDS Trust). To mark this London Underground are allowing us to collect in 21 of their stations, so we need plenty of volunteers to help us out.
NAT will be collecting funds on World AIDS Day - Monday 1 December 2008 and we need some help!
To mark our twenty-first birthday we will be collecting pennies (or £'s hopefully!) in 21 London Underground Stations. They are as follows:
Warren Street
St John's Wood
Sloane Square
Notting Hill Gate
Monument
Mansion House
Hyde Park Corner
High Street Kensington
Hampstead
Great Portland Street
Goodge Street
Gloucester Road
Farringdon
Earls Court
Chancery Lane
Cannon Street
Blackfriars
Bayswater
Barbican
Aldgate East
Caledonian Road
Given that World AIDS Day is on a Monday this year and many of our volunteers will have work commitments, we have decided to do this years collections in shifts.
Morning 8 - 10.30 am
Lunch 12 - 2 pm
Evening 4 - 7 pm
If you are availabe to volunteer for any or part of these shifts please let us know your preference. As there are so many slots to fill it would be great if you could be flexible with stations, however if there are any that are particularly difficult to you to get to then please do let us know.
