1 December 2011: World AIDS Day Concert for the Sussex Beacon
Organised by Brighton Gay Men's Chorus (Charity No. 1137437) on behalf of the Sussex Beacon. The Chorus will sharing the stage with The Rainbow Chorus, Soprano Red Gray, Qukulele and other guests TBC
The concert, with a varied musical repertoire, will provide an opportunity to reflect on the losses many have suffered, as well inspiring those present to celebrate people surviving and fighting HIV and AIDS. The concert will start straight after the annual candlelit vigil at the Aids Memorial in New Steine Gardens, 2 minutes away from St Mary's Church.
As in previous years, all performers are donating their time for free and the entire profit of the evening (which last year raised almost £1,000) will be donated to The Sussex Beacon to help with its Emergency Appeal to raise £150,000 to prevent their Inpatient Department from closure.
Tickets are £8, available from Dome Box Office [number available to members only] 709, The Sussex Beacon Charity Shops and on the door.
