9 September 2008: Volunteers Evening at the National AIDS Trust
It's that time of year again - I am after the assistance of lovely OUTers to help make up HIV awareness packs, bag up red ribbons, and other such manual labour.
In the months up to World AIDS Day on December 1 NAT's trading subsidiary is in its peak trading period, sending out orders of red ribbons, HIV awareness resources, etc. All profits from the sale of our materials are used to help fund the work of NAT.
We are a very small organisation, and the trading company consists of myself and in the three months up to World AIDS Day a temporary Trading Officer.
During the volunteer evening I need materials such as red ribbons and resource packs bagged up ready for sale, so when the orders come in they can be shipped out asap. Refreshments will be provided, and it's also a chance to meet people and socialise afterwards too.
Travel expenses for within the London area will be paid, and I'll shout you a drink at the pub after.
I have held a good few of these over the last few years, and they have always been fun.
