20 November 2011: Visit to Manchester Town Hall to see the Ford Madox Brown murals
An opportunity to see inside Manchester's wonderful Town Hall and see the Ford Madox Brown Murals in the Great Hall.
In conjunction with the current exhibition of the paintings of Ford Madox Brown at Manchester Art Gallery, which runs until 29 January, the Town Hall will be open to the public on some Sundays for the next few months so that people can see the famous Ford Madox Brown murals in the Grand Hall. This is an opportunity to see inside the town hall and look at the 12 murals which show scenes from Manchester's history. There is no admission charge. This event has been organised by OTT, Out to The Theatre, a group which organises visits to the theatre and arty events in the Manchester area.
After visiting the Town Hall there will be the opportunity to go somewhere for tea or maybe do some shopping in the Christmas Markets which will be in full swing.
