1 March 2008: Unite Against Fascism - Stop the Fascist Homophobic BNP
Join Hundreds of participants at this national conference is to stop the rise of the fascist BNP - speakers include Stonewall, Dirty Pretty Things singer Carl Barrat, MPs, Trade unionist, Jewish and Muslim groups. Registration free for 100 students!
The BNP gained a record 300,000 votes in May and it came within 0.1% of a London Asssembly seat - Your votes can help stop them!
This Conference will aim to mobilise all those who oppose or are threatened by the racist, homophobic, islamophobic, anti-semetic, fascist politics of the BNP. It calls for an all-white Britain which would only be possible through violence and nailbomber David Copeland bombed Londons African, Asian and LG communities to spark a vote for the BNP.
Where all those who oppose the BNP use their votes, they have been defeated. The LGBT vote will be decisive in helping stop the BNP from gaining a seat on the London assembly this year.
Speakers include
Derek Munn (Stonewall)
Joh Cruddas MP
Brendan Barber (TUC General Secretary)
Edie Friedman (Jewish Council for Racial Equality)
Daud Abdullah (Muslim Council of Britain)
Jerry Dammers (Ex the specials)
Carl Barrat (Dirty pretty Things)
Topics include :
the threat of the BNP - mobilising your vote to stop it
