1 October 2008: TRINITY's 30TH Birthday celebrations in New York City!
Those who know me will by now have worked out that I don't do things by halves. Since it's my 30th birthday...I want it to be a celebration to remember, and what better place to celebrate it than in the BIG APPLE!
With the on-going trend of getting together in the Duke of Wellington in Soho for birthday drinks...it occurred to me that it's fast going out of fashion! And far be it for me to conform to the norm :)
Since it's my 30th birthday (saying goodbye to one era and welcoming the next)...the toss-up came down to either Paris or New York to celebrate this milestone in my life. NYC obviously won...and now my focus has now shifted towards planning a few mini events in and around the Big Apple. Not all are compulsory...but if you're like me and haven't been there before..then you might want to make the most of things whilst your there.
Ideas for events are:
* Helicopter Tour Ride
* Visit to Central Park
* Shopping Day(s)
* Catching a Broadway show
* Go to the top of the Empire State Building
* Museum visits - including the Guggenheim.
* Audience tickets to a live recording of the Larry King/David Letterman Show.
I must stress these are purely ideas and as yet are not set in stone.
However if you have any suggestions then please leave a comment at the bottom of this event page and i can look into it.
Obviously it goes without saying that there will be some charges for these events (eg. Flights, Hotel, Food, NYC Card)...but i will try and look at the most budget-savy way of doing this, as i'm not exactly rolling in the money. BUT it's not everyday that I have a 30th birthday...so I definitely want to do this.
If you're interested...mark yourself down as probable...and I will endeavour to get some prices together nearer the time..and will let you know how much it's likely to be. TBC
