6 October 2007: The World Goes Round
This is a rarely performed Musical Revue show of the songs of Kander and Ebb (Composer & Lyricist of Chicago, Cabaret and New York, New York, amongst many others). A fantastic Musical show
This is a fantastic revue show made up of the music of Kander and Ebb, the composers of "Cabaret", "Chicago", and including well known songs such as "New York, New York", "All that Jazz" and "Cabaret" amongst a myriad of other lesser known numbers.
The songs range from the fall down funny, to deeply poiniant. (I've nearly cried in a number of the rehearsals, listening to some of my co-stars sing).
Jazz hands are much in evidence, as are the slinky smooth moves you'd expect with Kander and Ebb music, plus the obligatary dash of camp (Miss Minnelli would definitely be proud).
The show starts at 7.45 each night, with a 3.00 matinee on the Saturday, and tickets cost £10.
