THE TEMPERAMENTALS

...BY JON MARANS
DIRECTED BY JOSEPH C WALSH
LIGHTING DESIGN BY CHRIS WITHERS

Having played for a week at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival (winning the coveted Intercultural Dialogue award) The Temperamentals comes to Greenwich Theatre on June 1 & June 2 as part of our Emerging Artists Season.

THE TEMPERAMENTALS tells the story of two men who faced an epic struggle to create history - and who, through their struggles, fell in love.

In pre-Stonewall America the communist Harry Hay and the Viennese refugee and designer Rudi Gernreich came together to build the Mattachine Society, the first gay rights organisation, in a world where danger was never far away and an intoxicating secrecy hung in the air…

THE TEMPERAMENTALS marries the personal and the political to explore a relatively unknown chapter in gay history, celebrating the men prepared to risk everything to realise what seemed to be an impossible dream.

Combines savvy context and ascending flights of bittersweet fabulousness.
New York Review

THE TEMPERAMENTALS has rapidly generated a significant following, both for the subject matter and for the quality of the production, and on Thu 2 June after the show director Joseph C Walsh, will join members of the company to discuss the production andthe true story it tells with very special guests Boy George, Brian Paddick and Patrick Wilde.

photoMet some nice guys who were out for a few drinks from this site so thought I would join. I love going to the theatre, enjoy the cinema and nice chats in pubs. Am a fun-loving and interesting guy. Looking to broaden my circle of friends and maybe meet some new mates to go to theatre, cinema, explore the city or just have a pint and a laugh with. Originally from Boston came here
