The sci fi/geek/pop culture quiz, London
18 October 2009: The sci fi/geek/pop culture quiz
Tired of pub quizzes where all the questions were about geography, science and all that other boring stuff, not enough film or TV questions, then this is the quiz for you!
This is it!
A quiz for anyone who grew up through the 70s & 80s. Remembers the highs the lows, the adverts and the TV themes.
A quiz for anyone who loved Sci Fi and enjoyed late night Horror Films on BBC2.
A quiz for anyone who ever opened a comic book and marveled at spandex, played a computer game until 5 in the morning, rode a Grifter (or knew someone who did), cheered when Hulk Hogan slammed Andre the Giant, and thought the way Robocop walked was cool.
If you watched Knightmare, played D&D, was ridiculed for playing with action figures until you were 19, and fondly remember Floella Benjamin, then this is the quiz for you!
Big Dave does the Monday night quiz at the Green Man and decided to try a one off quiz but appealing to the more geeky fraternity, there will be prizes on offer, DVD's, action figures and other things of a geeky nature, the quiz is consisted of 4 rounds, which will include a picture round and an audio round
Dave is the quiz meister supreme but I warn you, dont even TRY to cheat using your mobile!
The Green Man is a straight, but very gay friendly pub as many an Outer I know will agree with, so come along!
Oh the quiz will have an entry fee per person but I havent confirmed with Dave what that wil be yet, no more than £3 per person though
Anyhoo come along and lets see if you know your Jeffries Tubes from your Compact Pussycat!

I go to the pub too much, have dubious music tastes, dont like cheese on pizza, cant peel prawns and am hopeless with chopsticks. Love films, Buffy and cold fishfinger sarnies but look terrible when I smile in photos, my feet are big and my ankles too thin but have broad shoulders and I always laugh at very bad taste jokes, marzipan is vile, I like anchovies, went to Glastonbury 98, it rained, a lot
