Maisie Trollette is the legendary doyenne of drag, and the comic creation of David Raven, who has been performing for over 50 years. In a unique evening, he recounts their interwoven story in conversation with Proud Heritage Director Jack Gilbert.
This special event will be in turn poignant, funny, entertaining and revealing. Maisie has always used music and laughter as her spear and shield.
When David Raven first performed homosexuality was illegal and men were imprisoned by police entrapment. HIs life has been a roller coaster — from 'landlady' of a gay guest house, to longtime collaborator with Phil Starr and a good friend of Danny La Rue, to ...?
