Hi folks,
well, we've been waiting for numbers for this event to increase since putting it on the front page of OUT, but sad to say this hasn't happened. Our original idea was to hire a bar or bar area, but with only ten definites that isn't possible.
Adding to the mix is the fact that this is Pride day and so even the definites are split between "It should be in Soho" and "I wouldn't go into Soho that day even if you paid me". So all in all it looks like a bit of a disaster. The track record for events on pride day is that the outcome is totally unpredictable. Given the small number of sign-ups we could end up with only two people.
I think under the circumstances our best bet is to cancel. It's a real shame, but the choice of day of course wasn't in our hands. I'm truly sorry about this as I was really looking forward to a fun night.
Have a drink for me anyway - and make sure to smoke 'em out!

Say hello to the smoking ban. We'll spend the last evening consuming some fags and reminiscing. We'll start off at a smokers restaurant and then move on to a few favourite pubs where we can enjoy our final ciggies without fear of legal reprisals.
