Wild Oats Productions is proud present a special performance of The Laramie Project in aid of TheatreMAD. TheatreMAD is part of the Make Difference Trust which brings together the British Entertainment community and its audiences to raise funds to support people living with HIV and AIDS, and those in the entertainment industry facing hardship as a result of a long-term medical condition. Wild Oats is honoured to be able to use this incredible play to help raise funds and awareness for this wonderful organization. Following the performance the audience will be invited to stay for a glass of wine and participate in a question and answer session with the cast and director. This is a unique opportunity to see and discuss this vital and important piece of theatre and support an organization that has made a difference to so many lives. Wild Oats is bringing The Laramie Project back to The Space following overwhelming critics and public response. Chad Armistead for Extra Extra said 'Joseph C. Walsh's emotionally searing production
easily makes my top three of the year.' The Laramie Project is a vibrant, moving and important docudrama. The playwrights interviewed over 200 people in the year following the murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard, then edited the work down to 75 voices. The result is a balanced portrayal of how this community coped with this tragic and explosive event and its healing process. THE LARAMIE PROJECT is a breathtaking theatrical collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable. Wild Oats has assembled an incredible cast including: Francis Adams, Jenna Berk, Amy Clarke, Kevin James, Megan Maczko, Meghann Marty, Gemma Nichols, Anton Tweedale, and Adam Unze.
Press on the Off-Broadway Production:
"A pioneering work of theatrical reportage and a powerful stage event." Time Magazine.
"Astonishing. Not since Angels in America has a play attempted so much: nothing less than an examination of the American psyche at the end of the millennium." Associated Press.
"There emerges a mosaic as moving and important as any you will see on the walls of the churches of the world
nothing short of stunning
you will be held in rapt attention." New York Magazine.

Looking to broaden my circle of friends and maybe meet some new mates to go to theatre, cinema, explore the city or just have a pint and a laugh with. Originally from Boston came here
