We are a small group of Christians drawn from the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and Intersex (GLBTI) communities, who come together to celebrate our life and our faith.

We meet at the Liverpool City Centre Methodist Church known as "Somewhere Else", whose ministry is largely based around the making and sharing of bread - hence our name "Bethlehem", which means "House of Bread".
We come from a variety of Christian backgrounds, therefore we aim to create an atmosphere in which everybody is valued and accepted.
Our gatherings are deliberately simple in nature; this enables us to maintain a comfortable and re-assuring atmosphere.
The basic structure of our time together is to provide a safe space in which to share our on-going journey of life and faith, to minister to one another and to be ministered too in return. We use prayers that are drawn from a variety of Christian sources, the sharing of sacred scripture and prayers of intercession play an important part within our time together, this eventually brings us to our central focus, the breaking of bread, our Eucharist.
