Theatrically Bent XVI - Religion, London
19 April 2010: Theatrically Bent XVI - Religion
Are you a budding theatrical? Or maybe enjoy experiencing a wide variety of literature? Or just fancy a good night out taking in some dramatic prose & meeting people?
THIS MONTHS THEME: Religion
This time round we are recommending you bring pieces with any sort of "religion" connection. It's entirely up to you what that means.
Theatrically Bent is a London-based play/prose reading group that meets monthly at the King Edward VI pub (EDVI) in Islington.
All are welcome, regardless of experience, to join us in sharing extracts of plays, poetry or prose to read out or be read by the group. Each month we have a loose theme which may help you choose a piece (or two) to bring along, but there is no compulsion to adhere to it.
Feel free to come along and see what we are about, or find out more:

We also recently presented our first public performance, a rehearsed reading of a new play written by one of our members, on Broadway (London SW1), raising £150 for charity during LGBT History Month.
And if you don't want to read, don't worry - there are plenty of people who do.

This event has been added to the OUTeverywhere calendar by Hairy Berry from Clapham in the London area.
If I was an animal I'd be a wombat. If I was a car I would be unroadworthy. If I was a painting I'd be from Zürich Dada. If I was a drink I'd be a lager shandy. If I was a place I would be anywhere but Crewe. If I was a song I would be Xanadu.
