12 October 2007: Theatre at Arts Social Somerset - The Tempest
Something Social events are about fundraising while socialising. Arts Social is about sharing a passion for the the arts in all their guises. This is our first theatre trip - to see a tale of magic, intrigue, love and justice by The Bard himself.
This is a trip to see one of Shakespeare's finest plays - The Tempest. This production by the Love & Madness Ensemble was performed at Shakespeare's Globe and directed by TV's Jack Shepherd.
Arts Social is about people getting together to share a passion for Art - in all it's forms. There'll be monthly events to showcase what Somerset has to offer.
The cost is £12 and in keeping with the Something Social ethos we'll be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support Somerset. In order for the charity to benefit we need at least 11 attendees The theatre will then give us a discount of £12 - which we'll pass on to the charity.
To book, fill in the form on the Arts Social page at http://www.somersetsocial.co.uk - Booking is required by 2nd October 2007 as I have to let the theatre know numbers shortly after. I've reserved 15 places on a first come, first served basis.
Something Social events are open to everyone who is open minded to gender, belief and sexuality, and who want to enjoy themselves! They provide a chance to meet new people, form new friendships and expand your social network, and to raise money for charity.
Arts Social is the first Tuesday of every month. We meet just inside the Coal Orchard, North Street, Taunton, TA1 1TX at 7.45pm, before heading further inside at about 8pm.
