Going to see THE ARTIST a new film at Cornerhouse and would be delighted to meet any other OUTers who may wish to come as well
I am going to see THE ARTIST at Cornerhouse on Saturday night and would be delighted to meet any other OUTers who may also be going to that screening.
Here is what the Cornerhouse website says about THE ARTIST:
Universally adored at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, The Artist is an uplifting and beguiling rags-to-riches tale brimming with fun and charisma. With numerous cinematic references, The Artist is pure joy for fans of classic Hollywood films.
It's 1927 and George Valentin is a silent film star at the top of his game; that is until the arrival of sound revolutionises the film industry and threatens his career. Peppy Miller, a talented young film fan, breathes new life into the studios but for George her arrival is both a blessing and a curse as she turns out to be not just a love interest, but also a studio rival.
This dialogue-free film features a dazzling orchestral score by Ludovic Bource.
As ever you will need to sort your own ticket/s and do any checking about availability and so on. I expect to be in the foyer from 8 till about 20 past~ when I expect to go and take my seat. It is in the big cinema so there should not be a prob with tickets but feel free to check if you are at all concerned. Ta. Meeting in the foyer at Cornerhouse at 8pm on Saturday ta Will wait around 20 mins and then take my seat.
