Join us at Costa Coffee for coffee and other soft drinks plus a variety of cakes and snacks to while away an hour or so in pleasant conversation.
This event, organised in conjunction with the Slough Gay Network (http://groups.msn.com/SloughGayNetwork), is intended to be a relaxed gathering to socialise after the exertions of Saturday night!
Join us at Costa Coffee for coffee and other soft drinks plus a variety of cakes and snacks, before moving on for a proper drink, something more substantial to eat or maybe just window shopping, depending on the mood of those attending.
If you can't make the meet, then leave a message with any comments below. Maybe you don't like meeting up on a Sunday, so suggest a day and time when you do. Perhaps you don't like coffee socials, then suggest some events that you would attend.

SOME BACKGROUND INFO TO THIS EVENT: -
Following the relocation of my works office, I moved to Slough in June 2007 and was more than perterbed to discover the seeming lack of any gay facilities here. Yet statistics point to there being at least 5,000 gays living in Slough. Where are they all?
So I joined OUT primarily to make some local friends and the "forthcoming" GROUPS facility also looked interesting. I now understand that GROUPS is actually not likely to happen any time now, so thought I would pre-empt things and try to get a local Slough group up and running.
In my earlier days, I was involved with various gay groups on the south coast and even ran a local gay community disco for three years in Hastings. It would be good if we could get something similar going in Slough.
I have also created a site on MSN called Slough Gay Network to act specifically as a forum for local gays. The web address is http://groups.msn.com/SloughGayNetwork . Please visit and maybe even join up (it's free!).
