Everyone's invited to the OUT Christmas Posse in Sheffield! A special one-off for Christmas, so come along and meet other OUTers across Sheffield and South Yorkshire. And if you're coming from further afar, then you'd be very welcome too.
For Christmas, we'll be having a good old old-fashioned meal and afternoon out in Castleton. There's lots to see and do - the Christmas lights, the shops, the many great pubs and above all a chance to meet 'n' great your fellow OUTers and get into the Christmas spirit! If you're interested, then please add yourself to the guest list and let other OUTers who may be interested know too.
MEETING PLACE
We'll meet at the Sheffield Bus Interchange (over the road from Sheffield Railway Station) for 10.00-10.30 am on the dot and then get the bus that leaves at 10.45 am which will take us direct to Castleton. The buses are hourly so you'll have to be prompt!
VENUE
We'll be going to the Castle Inn in errm, Castleton. It's a Vintage Inn (they're great) and it's in the heart of the town.
Meal options are from one of three menus - the 'Festive Three Course Menu', the 'Lunch Menu' and the 'Main Pub Menu'. Vintage Inns' policy is that you just turn up and grab a table for the normal menus, but if we all want something from the 'Festive' menu then we have to book.
The 'Festive' and 'Main Pub' menus are on all day, and the 'Lunch' is up to 5pm. If you opt for the 'Festive', you have the choice of 3 courses for £13.95 OR the lunchtime-only 2 courses for £11.95. The other two have all the prices listed for the different meals.

TRANSPORT
Although Castleton is gettable by car and by train (alighting at Hope station), the best way is to go by bus. The First/Hulleys/TM Travel 272 service is our ticket to ride (literally). We can get this from Sheffield Interchange (opposite the railway station) and the bus ride takes about an hour approx.
Time to leave Sheffield - 10.45 (to allow enough time)
Time to leave Castleton - 7.00 (suggested last bus)
FURTHER INFO
After the meal, what we do is entirely optional - we can sample a beer or coffee in the many pubs, have a look in the shops and enjoy the Christmas lights.
