This is officially the most pompous birthday dinner imaginable, and you're ALL invited.
Now, I know this may come as a shock to most of you, but Robin (that'll be me, then) is turning 20 again this year.
To celebrate this amazing event, and the fact that an entire decade has magically disappeared, you are all invited to join me for my special birthday dinner. There is one small teeny weeny little catch though - I will be in Milan that day, so you all have to fly out to the trendiest city on the planet and soak up a bit of gorgeous Italian sunshine. I know this will be a strain, and to top it all off, it will cost you about £50 or so in flights. But it will be so worth it!
Milan's not a cheap city, and certainly lives up to its reputation as the centre of designer fashion. But it also has a lot, lot more to offer than just the rows and rows of absolutely gorgeous designer boutiques. There's some history too. And some art. And a cathedral. And did I mention shops? And a Starbucks with (as an old friend put it) "the campest fucking door in the world!" All in all, Milan's vibrant, fresh and exciting, but also steeped in romance, history and culture.. a perfect combination of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
And the sun will be out. A lot. Wear sunscreen. A big one.
And did I mention it will be my 20th? It's vitally important not to get the numbers confused. Anyone struggling with the maths should know that I do not count any of the birthdays between 1997 and 2006 in my calculations.
