20 January 2008: Real Ale Social
If you enjoy real ales or real cider, and want to meet like minded people this is the social for you. We meet monthly to share a pint and a chat, and to exchange news, views and organise trips.
This is an oppotunity for you to meet exsisting and make new friends who like to drink real ales and/or cider in a social context, and have good time and a laugh whilst drinking excellent quality beers. The Vat and Fiddle is the brewery tap for the Castle Rock Brewery and always has four of that brewery's beer available plus an ever change range of 6 guest beers mostly from Mirco-Breweries from around the county. You never quite know what these beers will be before the social and sometimes the beer range changes during this event. Traditional cider and perry will also be available for those who like fermented fruit jiuce.
Its also the place to find out what's happening in the area concerning CAMRA Beer Festivals, Pub Beer Festivals, other events associated with Real Ale, and discover more new and interesting pubs where quality real ale is served throughout the East Midlands, and the best way to get there without having to drive.
News of the Real Ale Scene throughout the county is also part of the meeting with tales of past crawls arouind the country. Those who have a passion for Belgium Beers will not be disappointed as the Vat and Fiddle stocks a selected range of Belgium beers. Keen followers of Belgium beer culture will be available to help and guide beer drinkers into the wonderful world of these beers.
If there is enough interest there will be a mini crawl around some of the real ale pubs in Nottingham after the Real Ale Social has finished. You never know quite what other beers you'll discover.

I'm 58, out only to gay friends, have a great sense of humour, love meeting friends for laughs at and to plan trips. I'm no adonis, but could be a great friend. I'm a romantic and young at heart. I'm seeking preferably younger friends who have similar interests. My interests includes photography, Reading, Music (classical but not exclusively) singing, visiting real ale pubs, travel, Computers and collecting things.
