In recent years, the law has improved things for gay men beyond all recognition. we will be talking about our interviews with some of those who made this possible.
In recent years, after meeting and marrying, we decided not enough people know about the struggle for our rights. From complete illegality and persecution, we have come to legal recognition and freedom, though there will probably always be more to be done. Progress didn't come without people willing to put themselves on the line, so we contacted those we could, and interviewed Leo Abse, whose bill in the commons in 1967 started the process - we saw him aged 90, three months before he died;
Allan Horsfall, who founded the Campaign for Homosexual Equality,
PeterTatchell, known to everyone for his campaigning courage, and still very active,
Antony Grey, only possible to speak to via email, as he was already very ill, dying quite recently, but a key figure, often neglected.
These men should be remembered for all they did, and we want to share what we learnt. try to be there, and tell your friends! [email address available to members only]

Dennis and I are outgoing friendly and warm people. We love walking, reading, travelling, a nice pint or two or a glass of wine, good conversation. Love meeting people of all sorts - it's the person that's important, and communicating, verbal, physical, whatever. Weve been very lucky, and have found true love (gooey, yes, but true!). We married on February 4th 2006, and I retired in October 2007.
