25 June 2007: Outwrite Writing Relay: Theme 'The crisis'
This is a writing group exercise to write in relay, similar to the game of 'consequence'. The final peice will be read at the Outwrite Writing Group and Social on 14th May.
Welcome to the Outwrite Relay: Theme 'The Crisis'.
Each writer who joins the relay should try and contribute approx 300 words or less in relay with other writers. You need not attend the writing group meeting on 14th May to take part. The first reading of the relay piece will be on 14th May and then the full peice will be sent out to all participants.
How it works is as follows:
1. You send your e-mail address to me through out.
2. Sometime in the next month you will receive the last paragraph from the previous writers piece of work.
3. Using the paragraph you have been sent you will have 2 days to continue the story (in which ever writing you wish) on the theme of 'the crisis'.
4. You send your passage onto me after the two days and I forward your last paragraph to the next participant.
5. We read the whole piece on 14th May at the Outwrite writing group and social.
We go directly to the pub and celebrate!
Outwrite is a rewarding meetings of writers were their work is discussed and feedback is given. The work is not particularly gay orientated. Everyone is welcome to contribute and will get their chance to read and get feedback.
OutWrite has been established for over a year and writing events of this kind have been held in the bookshop for decades in just the same way.
There are no refreshments on site, so please bring along anything you need, there are coffee bars and shops in the vicinity. There's a Tesco opposite Russell Square station.
