13 August 2007: Outwrite Writers Group and Social: 'Continue this extract...'

There isn't a theme for the next meeting only a sentence to start you off writing.
"It was 3am and the lounge was almost empty, if it wasn't for the Germans guffawing in the corner over beer and the intermittent sound of a barman cleaning glasses there would have been nothing to be heard. He took the black silk diary and fountain pen out of the brown paper bag and disposed of the bag. He put the fountain pen to one side as he admired the diary. He brought the book to his nose, but it had no real scent. He smoothed the front of it with his hand to appreciate the silk then gently opened it. The pages creaked open, white and clean and crisp, he parted several weeks of pages which were almost sealed together in the printing process and turned to the 10th May. It was the day he had embedded in his memory. Now he would write the events of that day to document them, so he could always remember them."

2 hour meeting starting promptly at 7pm in the bookshop until 9pm followed by the drinks at the local pub!
Rewarding meetings of writers were their work is discussed and feedback is given. The work is not particularly gay orientated. Everyone is welcome to contribute and will get their chance to read and get feedback.
OutWrite has been established for over a year and writing events of this kind have been held in the bookshop for decades in just the same way.
There are no refreshments on site, so please bring along anything you need, there are coffee bars and shops in the vicinity. There's a Tesco opposite Russell Square station.
