26 September 2007: Out Gay Photographers Network - September
Networking event for photographers from beginners to professionals. With the focus on social networking this get together will be hosted by David at the studios of Urban Photography in Shoreditch - with thanks to Jonathan the owner.
The aim is to create a network, where people can share ideas, knowledge and get together. Beginners, enthusiasts and professionals are all welcome to join the network. It's completely FREE of charge – we welcome input and contributions of help from all members.
We'll be having monthly networking meetings, hosted at Urban Photography's studio in Spitalfields, near to Liverpool Street. As a host Jonathan provides copious amounts of food and drink and the odd model shows up too. Each meeting will run from 6.30pm until 8.30pm, and will include:
A brief greeting to update you on developments and plans
A projected slideshow of photographs taken by the group - if there has been a walk between meetings then please share your images. If you want to have images in the slide show then please msg me or email me :-)
Plenty of chance to network over wine/beer/juice
Members are encouraged to bring along photographs they have taken to networking meetings, and others can discuss and critique them (as well as heaping praise on you for your best shots).
There are opportunities for us to organise photographic walks, gallery visits, exhibitions, training events, group discounts on products and printing and group bookings for studios and models.
If you cannot make the meeting then please let me know that you are interested in joining us as other organsied photographic events and a proposed online forum could be of interest.
