Out-Dance is the revival of The Albany's 1980's iconic Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Mega Dance Club. Organised by the The Lewisham Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community Involvement Group.
Out-Dance is the revival of The Albany's 1980's iconic Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Mega Club. A collaboration between the The Lewisham Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community Involvement Group, The Albany and TWO 8 SIX (Lewisham's LGBT Style Bar) Out-Dance will burst onto the South-East London Scene on Saturday 7th July and turn The Albany into a pumping power-house of Commercial Dance and Funky House beats on the first Saturday of every month. A club night dedicated to the LGBT Community but welcoming anyone whose mind is open to everyone. Running from 11pm to 4am with an after hours club night at TWO 8 SIX (286 Lewisham High Street) Out-Dance will feature top scene DJ's and live Dance PA's.
On the opening night DJ, Pete Martine of Sleaze Sisters and Starett DJ's fame will set the tone for the coming months. Pete has a monthly residency at Nightingales, Birmingham's world famous Gay Club and has graced the decks of many top London clubs not to mention his frequent visits to Ibiza and Europe. With up-to-the-minute re-mixes of the sounds that rocked the original Out-Dance together with the club anthems of today no-one will want to leave the dance floor but as this will be the first Saturday of the Smoking Ban some may well head for the Chill-Out lounge and outside smoking terrace.
Tickets in advance priced at £6 are available from The Albany Box Office ([number available to members only] 446) or on-line at www.thealbany.org.uk On the door £8. Out-Dance tickets are also valid at TWO 8 SIX for the after hours session from 2am to 8am. R.O.A.R.
