Richard Nickols and Nigel Lees, both Interfaith Ministers, are offering a day of spiritual experience, practise and discussion for gay and bi men.
We will create a sacred space and encourage participants to bring an item of special meaning to them which describes their spiritual path. This could be a photo, icon, statue, picture or even a very specific memory, but you alone choose what is meaningful to you. We will use these items as a starting point to discuss our spiritual path.
The morning will therefore be centred around our spiritual evolution and our understanding of God, Spirit, Source, Presence (whatever that means to us). The afternoon will go into more detail on our religious and spiritual histories – often the key to unlocking where we are going on our spiritual journey.
Throughout the day we will work in pairs and small groups and we will use meditation, chants, Dances of Universal Peace and other means for getting out of that intellectual space and into our hearts and body. The day will give you time to reassess where you are on your path, hopefully indicate where you will go next on your path and provide you with some practices to assist you. The day is intended to be a gentle day for the spirit and a time for contact, connection and community.
Members of the group have described Richard and Nigel's previous sessions as inspiring, uplifting, energising, encouraging - and we are confident that the day will be fun as well as informative.
The cost per person is £15, which includes lunch and tea/coffee. There is room for 20 people.
