16 September 2007: North Warkwickshire Cycle Ride (35 miles)
A gentle paced ride through North Warwickshire countryside on the official North Warwickshire Cycle Route. The route is 35 miles, but I would envisage an average speed of only 10-12 mph. There will be plenty of pub stops on the way for refreshments.
This ride is probably not for you if you've never cycled before, as 35 miles can make you quite saddle sore if you're not used to it. If you have a reasonable level of fitness though, and you do rides of any length normally, then do come along! Its also not going to be a race, so if you're a lycra clad professional cyclist then don't expect a great work out. The emphasis is on healthy sociability not cardio work out!
The route is gently rolling.. hills exist but are not tooo hard on the old legs.
There will be plenty of opportunity to sample various watering holes along the way. Allow at least 5 hours to get back to the start?
