The World Naked Bike Ride is a worldwide environmental protest against the destructive effects of car culture. By cycling naked it demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets. The aim is to promote commuter cycling and real rights for bikes. Come and celebrate the body and the bike as you enjoy the freedom of cycling past London's landmarks with less clothing than usual!
Ideal photo opportunities as well. Have yourself photographed naked in front of places such as Trafalgar Square, Eros, Downing Street, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and so on. With between 1000 and 1200 riders in 2007, it is hoped that an even greater number will take part this year.Most ride nude, but for the shy ones shorts or swimwear can be worn, body paint and masks are all fine as well. It's bare as you dare, a perfect body is not a requirement, nor do you have to be ultra-fit as it is a reasonably level route and there is alot of stopping and starting.
Police have agreed to the central London route and nudity so no arrests will be made. In fact the whole ride has a police escort with police stopping traffic (as if the sight of 1200 naked cyclists wouldn't stop the traffic!) For those who don't have a bike, there is thepossibility of hiring one or some take part on roller skates/blades.

UPDATE FOR ALL MEMBERS OF OUTEVERYWHERE
I am already orgainising a lgroup from the London male Naturism Meetup Group which I run so have 33 signed up already, so ther would be no problem in OUT members teaming up so we can go en masse. So that we can all meet up and try and cycle together I am proposing we gather together at 2.00pm ready for the 3.00pm Official Start. To try and make it easier I am proposing that we meet by the "JOY OF LIFE FOUNTAIN" which can be found very near to the "ALDFORD STREET NORTH GATE" off Park Lane, and is just a very short ride to join the masses ready to strip off! I will have a few A4 size "Meetup" and OUTeverywhere signs displayed but I think many taking part have already met me so know who to look out for, and I have loads of photos on my profile.
