A pleasant circular amble around central London taking in the main tourist sites. Suitable for all cyclists.
We set off from Euston station through Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia and Marylebone to Hyde Park. A gentle ride through Hyde Park and Green Park. Past Buckingham Palace and down Pall Mall. We will walk through Trafalger Square past the National Gallery and continue through Covent Garden past the Royal Opera House (and Bow Street police station). Cross the River Thames for lunch at Tate Modern. there will be some time to see some pictures.
The ride continues in the afternoon to the Tower of London and views of Tower Bridge - tea stop. Through the back streets of the City, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Clerkenwell and back to Euston station.
Possible post ride drink at the award winning real ale pub - The Bree Louise which is next to Euston Station.
A pleasant easy ride of 15 miles with plenty of stops using mainly quiet roads and cycle paths. A true tour of the sites of London. Lots of stop off stations along the way if you wish to join or leave the ride (Kings Cross, Euston, Embankment, Waterloo, Cannon Street, Liverpool Street and Kings Cross).
You must bring a bike lock as this is central London and we will be parking the bikes. Also bring lights and suitable waterproof gear in case of rain showers. Boris bike racks available for parking at stops.
Start point - outside Euston station near Nando's restaurant on one of the outdoor tables.
Bicyle hire is available using a Boris bike - see http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/cycling/14808.aspx - cost for 6 hours is about £35. There are Boris bike ranks near Euston station at Doric Way, Drummond Street, Euston Road and Endsleigh Gardens.

OUTeverywhere member organiser
This event has been added to the OUTeverywhere calendar by Mike E from Reading in the Berkshire area.
I'm an easy going straight acting person looking to meet people locally that either have similar interests or can inroduce me to new ones! Interest wise I tend to spend a lot of time keeping fit, especially cycling, swimming and walking. I am also into the great outdoors generally, vegetarian cooking, reading (especially crime fiction) and music (especially rock/indie/jazz/pop) .
