Joint GOC/Out Walk, Creech St Michael, Somerset
27 January 2008: Joint GOC/Out Walk
A Gay Outdoor Club walk of about 7-8 miles. You don't have to be a member of GOC or OUT to join in, and friends, male or female, straight or gay are welcome as are well behaved dogs.
A mostly gentle canalside and field ramble of 7-8 miles around Creech St Michael, Knapp, North Curry and Ham. Start at the canalside car park at Creech, signposted from main village road on the south side of the village going towards Ruishton. Bring packed lunch but possible pub/cafe stop in North Curry.
North Curry is one of the most beautiful villages in the area with many picturesques old houses and an interesting church known as "the Cathedral of the Moors".
As always, we aim not to take these things too seriously. There will be plenty of time to take in the views; just remember to come properly equipped with sensible footwear, and waterproofs, and plenty of water to drink.
