23 September 2007: Joint GOC/OUT Walk
The walks are a great way to meet people off the scene and are open to gay men and women and their friends. We don't take it too seriously, there are plenty of stops to admire the scenery so you don't have to be superfit.
An 8 mile figure of 8 walk – 3 mile morning loop around Alfoxton Park and Hodder's Combe. Then after lunch at Stella's tea garden (or bring a packed lunch), a 5 mile loop taking in Hare Knap, Robin Upright's Hill and Woodlands Hill. Some climbing involved but nothing too strenuous, and you will be rewarded by outstanding views across the Quantocks to the Bristol Channel.
Note:- We have recently heard that Stella's is up for sale. It is likely that it will still be open when we do our walk, but please contact us nearer the time to check on the situation.
Please wear sturdy footwear (boots or shoes) , bring waterproofs, and maybe some water and a light snack as well.
