14 December 2007: Jingle bells! Ho ho ho! North Herts Christmas Foodies 2007
December being crimbling time, we felt fellow outers and other LGBT guys would like a crimbling dinner on Friday 14 December, 7:30 p.m., at 'No. 12', Hitchin, followed by a short walk to a nearby pub for continued jollity.
These events have been running for about a year, usually with about 10-15 people attending.
Come and meet your fellow diners for a pre-dinner drink, enjoy good food, company and jollity and then move on to a nearby pub after the meal. Why not give it a go?
We thought you'd like to celebrate with some style in a friendly, family-run restaurant which offers good food. A three course meal which can be as traditional as you want it to be. PLUS crackers (or, if you're American, snappers (I think))

Cost: £30-25 incl 10% service
Starters:
• winter vegetable soup with fresh bread
• mushroom + roast chestnut tart with brandy cream sauce
• home-made chicken liver pate and crackers (with mottos, useless gifts and silly hats????)
• smoked salmon & king prawn filo parcels with cranberry jam
Mains:
• roast lamb with minted jus
• traditional roast turkey and all the trimmings
• grilled sea bass with spring onion & white wine cream sauce
• spinach and gruyere tart
(all served with roast potatoes and veg.)
Desserts:
• white chocolate and malteaser cheesecake
• Christmas pudding and custard
• lemon meringue pie
• Cointreau chocolate pot
My, that sounds good, waist-busting, diet-beating stuff.
Do come and join us: we won't eat you if you're new because there won't be room for the food! We won't even bite, nibble or lick. But we will welcome you.

• • since WITHDRAWAL WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE WILL BE CHARGED IN FULL, I'm afraid I need at least a cheque for the balance by Monday 10 December.
