2 September 2007: Helios Healing School Introductory Day
On the day we'll be exploring Self-Healing, Chakras and Auras, Sound Healing, Bodywork and Intention and Manifestation. The day is a complete workshop in itself and also forms an introduction to the Helios School of Holistic Healing.
This introduction day is also repeated on Sunday October 7th. Training school modules begin in late October.
The days will contain a mixture of teaching, experiential exercises and skills that students can then take with them and try on their own or with others.
The days are complete workshops in themselves and also form an introduction to what the school is about. This allows prospective students to see for themselves whether they feel attuned to the Helios way of working before committing to longer courses.
The Helios Centre itself, which is launching the school in celebration of 25 years running as a charity this summer, has a long history of supporting lesbian and gay clients both therapeutically, spiritually and socially.
The school will be in many ways an extention of this ethos. Whilst it is open to all, and is purely a place of learning, because of its roots, it will very likely have a large number of gay and lesbian teaching staff and students present.
Teachers on the September Introduction Day will be Greg Branson, Mickey Kannemeyer, Natasha Malik, and myself.

This event has been added to the OUTeverywhere calendar by Octopus Man From Atlantis With Sucker from Clerkenwell in the London area.
i'm interested in 'spirituality' (wide term!) and self-development. I'm a trainee counsellor, also studying with the Vibrational Healing Foundation. I also write music for theatre and also creative writing. I'm currently fostering a really lovely, intelligent cat for 6 months called Opal. Also interested in astroglogy as a tool for development. I meditate also and go to the gym like a good gay man.
