A day and night sampling the delights of Guildford. Visit a few bars for afternoon tea/coffee and beer, go for a walk along the river, see the castle, have a meal, and finish off in Scrumptious, Guildford's premier gay bar
Come and sample the delights of Guildford, a pleasant market town 30 minutes by train from London, with an unexpectedly vibrant nightlife.
We'll start at the White House, a pleasant pub down by the river, where we can have coffee, tea or start staight away on the beer. if the weather is nice, we'll go for a walk along the River Wey, and visit the castle. If you prefer, you can sample the shopping, which is very close by, and excellent.
We'll reconvene at 1600 at the King's Head on Quarry St, just below the Castle. As the Britannia is closed for refurb, we will either eat in the King's Head, or move on somewhere else around 1730, and then on to to the Wetherspoons
Finally we will end up a Scrumptious, Guildford's only gay bar, which is small and friendly, and where there will be dancing later on. Scrumptious is less than 5 minutes walk from the station, and the last train back to london is 2339, so there will be plenty of time to have fun
