A joint Gay Outdoor Club and OUT walk on the Somerset Levels
A walk of 7-8 miles on the Somerset levels taking in the battlefield of Sedgemoor - the last pitched battle in England - and the pretty villages of Westonzoyland and Moorlinch. As you might expect, the walk will be mostly, if not completely flat, and often near water. There will be a pub stop where food may be available but bring a packed lunch and drinks. Start from the car park at Parchey Bridge near Chedzoy - on minor roads off the A39 just north of Bridgwater.
You don't have to be ultra fit to take part, or even a member of either GOC or OUT. We take things fairly gently, with plenty of stops to take in the scenery, and it's a good way of meeting people off the scene. Just be sure to bring waterproofs and wear sturdy shoes or boots.
