Would you like a join a picnic at the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor?
What's happening?
Would you like to join the men and women of Milton Keynes & Bucks GOC on a picnic at Waddesdon Manor?
The original organiser is quickfind:meltdown .
The idea is to potter around the grounds, some of the countryside around it and, optionally, the manor.
It is a National Trust property. For non-members of the Trust, entry fees are £7 for house & garden; £5 for only the gardens.
What should I bring?
A picnic. Please bring enough food to share (say, 2 or 3 portions of one dish), but don't go overboard!
Please bring a large packed lunch and plenty of water. Recommend plastic sheeting to sit on (for lunch)(but don't eat it). Wear sturdy walking boots that can cope with tarmac, chalk and mud and lighter indoor shoes for the manor house itself.
What is Milton Keynes and Bucks GOC?
Milton Keynes and Bucks GOC is a local branch of the Gay Outdoor Club ( http://www.goc.org.uk/ ). It promotes the practice, learning and refining of outdoors activities and skills.
GOC has its own annual subscription fee. Prospective members are welcome to "try before you buy".
