Ladies and Gents are welcome to join the GOC Herts' monthly walk. Today's walk is a circular walk of just over 9 miles from the Shenley Country Park.
What's happening?
A circular walk of just over 9 miles from the Shenley Country Park, 1½ miles east of Radlett on the road to Shenley. Make sure you don't park in the Crcket Club car park by mistake if you drive via Radlett.
The walk has something for most tastes; open countryside, woodland, urban streets, sewage farms (!) and a dilapidated hospital.
May contain mud.
What should I bring?
Please bring a large packed lunch and plenty of water. Recommend plastic sheeting to sit on (for lunch)(but don't eat it).
Sturdy, leak-proof walking boots are strongly recommended for this walk.
What is Herts GOC?
Herts GOC is a local branch of the Gay Outdoor Club ( http://www.goc.org.uk/ ). It promotes the practice, learning and refining of outdoors activities and skills.
GOC has its own annual subscription fee. Prospective members are welcome to "try before you buy".
