9 August 2008: Gay Outdoor Club Herts @ Hertford - double event!
Ladies and Gents are welcome to join the GOC Herts' monthly walk. Today, GOC is i) cycling south along the River Lea; AND ii) walking south in countryside. Return journeys for both events are by train.
What's happening?
Today, you have a choice of event.
For cyclists, GOC will bike partly off-road south from East Hertford railway station down the River Lea towards London, returning by train.
For walkers, GOC will walk in countryside from the same starting point as the cyclists, heading south towards Broxbourne, returning by train.
The single train fare is about £5 per head.
What should I bring?
Please bring a large packed lunch and plenty of water. Recommend plastic sheeting to sit on (for lunch)(but don't eat it).
Sturdy walking boots are strongly recommended for this walk.
What is Herts GOC?
Herts GOC is a local branch of the Gay Outdoor Club ( http://www.goc.org.uk/ ). It promotes the practice, learning and refining of outdoors activities and skills.
GOC has its own annual subscription fee. Prospective members are welcome to "try before you buy".
