12 April 2008: Gay Outdoor Club Herts @ Cholesbury
Ladies and Gents are welcome to join the GOC Herts' monthly walk. Today's walk is in Cholesbury, east Buckinghamshire, and features between 8 to 11 miles of plains, valleys and hills.
What's happening?
Today's walk is an 8 or 11 mile walk (the group will decide on the day), doing a cross-section of two valleys and returning on plains to the north.
What should I bring?
Please bring a large packed lunch and plenty of water. Recommend plastic sheeting to sit on (for lunch)(but don't eat it).
Sturdy walking boots are mandatory for this walk. The earth is heavy clay and some gradients are much steeper than the group is used to.
What is Herts GOC?
Herts GOC is a local branch of the Gay Outdoor Club ( http://www.goc.org.uk/ ). It promotes the practice, learning and refining of outdoors activities and skills.
GOC has its own annual subscription fee. Prospective members are welcome to "try before you buy".
