13 October 2007: Gay Outdoor Club Hertfordshire: monthly walk (Old Welwyn)
Ladies and Gents are welcome to join the GOC Herts' monthly walk. This month's walk is ~11 miles between Old Welwyn and Mardley Heath.
What's happening?
Would you like to join the men and women of Herts GOC on a circular walk from Old Welwyn to Mardley Heath?
The routes takes us north via countryside paths, then underneath a motorway (as one does), then south into the slighy valleys of the Welwyn Chilterns. The southbound route is particularly pleasant.
What should I bring?
Please bring a large packed lunch and plenty of water. Recommend plastic sheeting to sit on (for lunch)(but don't eat it). Wear sturdy walking boots that can cope with tarmac, chalk and mud.
What is Herts GOC?
Herts GOC is a local branch of the Gay Outdoor Club ( http://www.goc.org.uk/ ). It promotes the practice, learning and refining of outdoors activities and skills.
GOC has its own annual subscription fee. Prospective members are welcome to "try before you buy".
