8 July 2007: Gay Clowning Workshop with Nose To Nose
This Clown workshop is a follow up to the highly popular Gay Clown event held at the Out spirituality Group at St James in May. This gay focused event will be an introductory workshop to the Nose to Nose style of working where your clown is your own.
Join us for a day of fun, laughter and downright sillyness. Through the Clowns' honesty we can rediscover inner qualities of openness, spontanaeity and play and so celebrate all the things we try so desperately not to be. By being accepting of our failures and helping us to laugh in the face of adversity the clown restores life back into a wonderous and yet irreverent adventure.
Through games, warmups and play we will gradually open up to a world of surprise,creativity and feeling that is the territory of the clown.No slaptick,no circus but warmth and discovery through improvising on the "empty stage", alone or with others, and within a frame work of rules that support and enable a deeper meeting with ourselves.
