Gateway is a non-religious spiritual exploration group for the gay community. We meet the last Tuesday of every month. A safe and friendly space is created in which to experience the various aspects of contemporary spirituality.
'Social Dreaming Workshop' - with NEIL TURNER
As a Psychotherapist Neil is particularly interested in Dreams and Ecopsychology which explores how we have lost contact with our home the Earth and as a result are loosing sight of our own true spirit. He is interested in how dreams can help us, as a community, bridge this gap.
During the event we will explore our deams as a group through sharing, listening and making associations to each others dreams. By working in this way we can move beyond the ego to where a new harmonious dynamic emerges through which we can gain a deeper understanding, not only of ourselves but of the whole and our connection to it.
The first part of the eveing we'll build what has been as a dream Matrix where we'll begin to connect to our dreams and to the group - getting a sense of, what Carl Jung referrred to as, the collective unconscious. During the second part we'll look at individual dreams and how working as a group with these can be a powerful and illuminating experience.
Social dreaming is a fun and uplifting experience and for the workshop no previous experience of dream work is necessary. Working in this way can be an imporatnt way of reconnecting to our 'Tribe' and to our internal nature as well as our collective external nature. Particularly at this time when there is so much uncertainty, anxiety and turmoil. Healing is needed both inside and out and dreams can help us do this
