9 January 2009: Free Movie: For The Bible Tells Me So
A very moving film about how families from America's homophobic Bible belt deal with the news that they have a gay son or lesbian daughter. It demonstrates once and for all that the love of a parent is far stronger than religious diktats.
Daniel Kerslake film "For the Bible Tells Me So" is being presented by The Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association at Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, WC1 (nearest tube Holborn) at 7.15pm. The Los Angeles Times said the film was "Inspiring" and the Miami Herald thought it was "Brilliant". National Public Radio said it was "An incredibly powerful film everybody should see. It restores your faith in people."
There is no charge for the GALHA event, although a collection to pay for the venue will be taken.
