Weekly evening service with communion, singing and light refreshments
In MCC in Newcastle we have created our own liturgical style of worship based on the variety of different experiences that individuals bring.
Liturgies are brought and used from all Christian backgrounds, and many are written by members in our congregation and the liturgy group - a group within the church where each person is encouraged to bring their own gifts and skills.
In MCC in Newcastle we practise the Priesthood of all Believers, the ministry of all people. We believe that you don't have to be clergy to preach, lead worship or celebrate communion. We actively encourage all people to use, discover and develop their gifts including worship skills.
Many people develop new skills, or refine existing ones, which allow them to take part in Sunday evening worship. We also offer training and feed-back for those involved.
