16 September 2007: Edward Carpenter Community of Gay Men
This is a taster day for men who have not been on an ECC event before and would like to know more.
This will be a day for gay men to experience and explore building a gay community. Members of the Edward Carpenter Community (ECC) will welcome participants and offer a safe space to be gay; workshops and conversations about organisations, yourself and others. This is intended to be a taster day for men who have not been on an ECC event and would like to know what would be on offer.
Lunch and refreshemnts will be provided.
Cost
The fee is, as usual at ECC events, on a sliding scale acording to income. For those on higher wages/income this is £15 (if you can offer more thiss will help the organisation); to cover our costs £10; if on low income/benefits. We are able to offer a limited number of free places, especially to gay refugees who have left their home country because of fears of homophobic persection. Please ask for such a place.

Well I made the move and left County Durham after two years and have returned south where a lot of the last years' stress has left me and I feel so much more at home. I love being near the sea and the Downs with friends and relations nearby and plenty to do.
