A monthly dinner club in and around Nottingham, usually with a discount, for open minded people who want to chat and make new friends! Included in the cost £1 per person goes to Nottingham Lesbian and Gay Switchboard.
We return to Le Mistral for the next Eat Out - the monthly social where you can dine, chat, meet up with friends and make new ones!
WEDNESDAY 8TH OCTOBER, 8PM:
LE MISTRAL, ELDON CHAMBERS, WHEELER GATE, NOTTINGHAM NG1 2NS
(Meeting beforehand at The Malt Cross pub, St James's Street, Nottingham NG1 6FG at 7:30pm)
It's three courses for £17 per head which includes our £1 donation to Nottingham Lesbian and Gay Switchboard. Le Mistral is not only renowned for its great food, but also has a superb selection of wines available.
Here's the menu:
STARTERS
Mistral Mushrooms (v) - Garlic mushrooms finished with melted brie, served with rocket salad and bread
Pate du Maison - Pate of the Day served with balsamic roast grapes, French bread and butter
Smoked Mackerel Pate - Sweet and smokey mackerel pate with French bread and salad
Soup du Moment (v) - Freshly home-made soup served with French bread and butter
MAINS
Moules et Frites - A big bowl of mussels in creamy white wine and garlic sauce, with frites and bread to mop up the sauce
Garlic and Tarragon Chicken - Strips of chicken breast and mushrooms with fresh tarragon, wine, garlic and cream, served on basmati rice
Risotto du Jour (v) - Chef's special creamy risotto (always a veggie delight)
Boeuf Bourguignon - Tender beef with shallots, smoked belly pork and mushroom, slow cooked in red wine and stock on garlic mash
Crab Cakes - Chef's special homemade crab cakes with mixed leaf salad and a sweet chilli herb mayo
DESSERTS
French Vanilla Cheesecake - Le Mistral's most popular dessert
Chocolate Chilli Cake Served warm with pouring cream
Assiette de Fromage - Something grilled, something ewe, something soft, something blue served with roast grapes, French bread and butter
Tarte au Citron - A traditional French Lemon tart
