11 June 2011: East Lancs Coffee 'n' Brunch
Meet up at Townley Park, Burnley for a friendly drink, bite to eat if you fancy, and a natter with other OUTers in East Lancashire. This event usually lasts between 1 - 1.5 hours. Some choose to explore the grounds and go for a walk afterwards.
This is a very casual, friendly coffee "possee" (for want of a better term) for any OUTer who wishes to come along. There is no formality to the "event". Basically, just turn up for however long you wish to. No one has to be bang on time and no one has to stay a specific amount of time. If you want to just pop along, have one brew, say "hi" and bugger off that's fine.
If you have a dog and the weather is good that day so that we can sit outside, please feel free to bring him/her along too. I'll be bringing Cooper, weather permitting.
**Please note that with the weather turning colder, bringing your dog even on a dry day may not be advisable. It may be best to await the onset of Spring!**
The cafe is dog friendly as they put water bowls around the outside seating area for our canine compaions.
Disabled Facilities: Access for wheelchair users is good. I'd recommend parking on the Short Stay carpark near the big house for easier and quicker access to The Stables Cafe. There are disabled toilets very close by to the cafe (within 100 yrds or so).
The cafe serves a range of drinks, foods and snacks. Towneley Park is a lovely location to meet up and hopefully a good time will be had by all.
Message me if you wish with any questions or concerns you may have. I'm happy to meet up 1-1 prior to the event if that helps with individual nerves and such, as attending an event for the first time can be a tad daunting.

I'm a friendly guy, and generally pretty honest with my opinions and points of view (ie: I call it how I see it, as a rule...of sorts). Don't be fooled by the brash bravado, though. Underneath this worn out shell is a pretty sensitive soul. I'm happy to meet up for a drink. I run a three weekly coffee and brunch event as well as a monthly Orange Wednesday get together.
