This tiny isolated speck in the mid Pacific was home to one of the world's most remarkable cultures – the builders of the famous giant stone statues. Join Professor Geoff Boxshall to learn about the people of this remote volcanic island. How, with only stone tools at their disposal, did they manage to carve and erect these giant statues? And what do the plants and animals tell us of the island's history?
Doors open at 6.30pm and the lecture starts promptly at 7.00pm.
