WALK TALL and you'll brim with confidence. We're offering OUTers the chance to experience good posture, one of the most valuable assets you have. Once you use it you won't lose it.
Every wanted to know how to stand tall and walk with confidence? The Fortune & Friends team are running an evening course for us gay guys to get together and learn the art of great posture.
So what's it about?
Poor posture in walking and/or sitting is a common cause of bad circulation, breathlessness, weak muscles, stiff joints, loss of sleep, and pre-mature ageing. If we slouch, our self-image may be low and cause us either to lose or gain too much weight. A great deal of how we are perceived depends on how we carry ourselves in public, affecting our general attitude and demeanour. If we look approachable, we will be approached.
Walk tall and you'll brim with confidence, people will treat you differently and the things that you most want will be that bit more achievable.
You will be guided through a repertoire of exercises that make you shake your hips and isolate muscle groups that could have been dormant for years. You will walk backwards and forward in front of a mirror to develop grace, poise and confidence. You'll be using the art of belly dancing, taught by a professional belly dancer (www.fleurestelle.com), and hula hooping to achieve the aims of the course. This promises to be a fun evening with lots of laughter.
This is F&F's third Deportment class. Our first two were loads of fun and it's a great way to meet new people.
