Dance Out Loud - The 5 Rhythms, can be seen as a workout, a social event or a ‘club without drugs' also a spiritual dance practice when you get into it. People come to see it more as a meditation and a therapeutic meeting without words....
DANCE OUT LOUD
'There are likewise three kinds of dancers.
First, those who consider dancing as a sort of gymnastic drill, made up of impersonal and graceful ballet poses.
Second, those who, by concentrating their minds, lead the body into the rhythm of a desired emotion, expressing a remembered feeling or experience.
And finally, there are those who convert the body into a luminous fluidity, surrendering it to the inspiration of the soul.' Isadora Duncan
When we are fully receptive and grounded in our flowing and expressing from the heart our intention in staccato. This fusion gives rise to us shaking it out and letting go in chaos. When the effort drops away - we have nothing left to give or receive from our dance - an empty space opens and we move beyond letting go, into a new world (dance) of possibilities....

Dance Out Loud is a weekly 5 Rhythms movement/dance drop-in class. We welcome everyone who respects diverse sexuality and wants to dance.
The 5Rhythms is a contemporary shamanic ecstatic dance practice developed by New York-based visionary Gabrielle Roth. 5Rhythms is a movement meditation that integrates physical and spiritual presence by grounding trance-dancing in 5 archetypal movement languages; flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. There are no steps to learn, the practice is designed to catalyse authentic movement and free the dancer that lives within each and every human body. It can be practiced with many different kinds of music, as well as in silence, sometimes alone and with others
